Jul 23, 2007 - Shawn Chapman Holley — a former colleague of the late, famed lawyer Johnnie Cochran — sued The Cochran Firm, claiming racial and gender discrimination, fraud and breach of contract. NPR's Tony Cox talks with Holley and her attorney, Dan Stormer, about the lawsuit. Randy McMurray, managing partner of the Cochran law firm in Los Angeles (and a later litigant against The Cochran Firm), gave The Cochran Firm's rebuttal.

Holley v. The Cochran Firm, Superior Court

Randy McMurray, who spoke on behalf of The Cochran Firm on NPR in 2007, also sued The Cochran Firm  —  for racism, fraud, and RICO Act racketeering. One of the most bazaar allegations was that Dunn, in the California office, misused the firm's funds to buy sex from the staff, including women hired for the specific purpose of providing office sex for Dunn. McMurray explains why he sued the fraudulent, devious, sex crazed lawyers at The Cochran Firm for RICO Act racketeering on the Rev. Pinkney Blogtalkradio Show on February 17, 2013, and the show is archived at the link below:

Other lawyers who sued The Cochran Firm for various frauds will be added on another post. Some are former lawyers with The Cochran Firm, and others are law firms that partnered with The Cochran Firm on specific cases. This writer cautions all legal professionals to abstain from contracting to represent cases alongside The Cochran Firm, lest your own good names get ruined when The Cochran Firm defrauds the clients you mutually represent. Besides that, you might not get paid. According to one lawsuit, The Cochran Firm lied to the court to prevent legal fees that should have gone to a law firm The Cochran Firm partnered with on a case. Please be careful.

  1. In a city like Los Angeles, getting a good lawyer is not a luxury but a necessity for businesses given the legal aspects that are involved in running and maintaining a business. The good news is that businesses can gain access to some of the best lawyers by employing simply knowing where to look and who to ask because knowledge on these can give businesses access to lawyers who would aggressively represent their interests in the legal arena.
